Advice for GA stay
Parking advice:
Inbound GA pilots can park on Bravo Park. Refueling number (Shell) is 03 88 64 67 78 (+33).
Moving to Strasbourg:
Strasbourg is accessible by train (train station is located ~300m North of the GA park, ~50m from the Main Terminal) within 8 minutes. The train ticket is €4.60 and allows you to use the city's bus network.
Taxis are also available in front of the Main Terminal. You can rent a car in the Main Terminal.
Hotels and restaurants nearby:
There are a few restaurants inside the Main Terminal, alongside with restrooms (restrooms are also located in the white GA building).
Regarding hotels, you can go to the Hotel Le Père Benoît, and the Hotel-Restaurant Au Boeuf in Entzheim City ; you will find many hotels in Strasbourg city centre, and in Illkirch-Graffenstaden city.
What to do in STRASBOURG TMA ?
As the Rhine valley is a rich region (by culture, history, and economy), there are plenty of things to see around the city. You can fly along the Western Mountains (in French: les Vosges [pronouce "voj"]) and admire Middle-Age castles and monasteries. You could also follow the Rhine river to the south, and see Neuf-Brisach fortified city (beware of the P36 zone !).
What to do in Strasbourg City and around ?
Strasbourg is an old city full of culture, thanks to its key position at the centre of Europe, between Germany, France, and quite further south, Switzerland. You will enjoy the different architectures of the city : the German-style Neustadt, the half-timbered house of La Petite France or modern buildings in the Council of Europe and European Parliament's district.
The city is a true witness of Alsace's past, thanks to its numerous monuments: the Cathedral (and other churches), Le Pont Couvert fortified bridge, Palais Rohan and downtown are among those buildings which made our history. Don't forget to take a look to La Petite France district, especially during golden hours, and to taste the Flammenkueche, one of our renamed local dishes.
It is recommended to plan a sightseeing boat tour on the canals ; some tours offer on-board dinner service.
Around Strasbourg stand dozens of small picturesque villages.
