For incoming VRF Traffic, for position reports the tower likes inbound radial references from their VOR/DME. Also they have both JetA and AVGAS 100LL at the airport.

MMQT does have an AWOS - the frequency is 128.7 and the CTAF is 122.5 - Approach is 127.2

There are three main VFR inbound and outbound corridors with Waypoint Names all referenced to the QET VOR - Call them up 20 miles out and know that there is no Radar at this airport

  • PRESA - 300 degree radial at 18.3 NM - North West
  • BORDO - 220 degree radial at 19.1 NM - South West
  • SAN JUAN - 133 degree radial at 18.6 NM - South East
