We Love
Pilots!
The Courtenay Airpark is one of the few airfields still in existence where the public is able to get a close-up view of light aircraft, both wheeled and on floats, during landings and take-offs. It is truly an 'air-park' as it is ringed by the pathways of the Courtenay River Walkway and the associated nature parkland.
The Airpark is owned by the City of Courtenay but is entirely managed and operated by a volunteer organization (The Courtenay Airpark Association). It serves not only Courtenay but all surrounding communities and localities in the Comox Valley.
Please take a tour of our website and check out the information intended for visiting pilots and their passengers.
Questions, comments or suggestions related to the Airpark may be forwarded via email.
Whether for pleasure or business, should your flight destination include Vancouver Island, we would be happy to welcome you to our airpark 'jewel'!
SERVICES
The Airpark itself includes an Ultralight Flight School and an aircraft maintenance/modifications company. In addition, there are local restaurants, malls, shops and hotels/motels all within walking distance. D's Cafe, a small and friendly cafe next to the main gate, draws many fly-in visitors for the great home-made food.
