Albertus Airport has been in operation since 1945, and is City owned.
When the airport started it only had a short grass runway. Through the years, is has grown to having 3 runways. One hard surface, and two grass runways. Our hard surface runway is 5,500’ x 100’ and is fully grooved. It can accommodate many corporate jets, as well as general aviation of all makes and models. A great benefit to our airport is we do have two well maintained grass runways that accommodate the grass roots aircraft. So, Albertus Airport is known for having the best of both worlds, small and large aircraft.
Albertus Airport has a Fuel Master fuel system for 100LL, it is available for 24 hour fueling. We also provide full-service Jet A, by truck during office hours. We do provide after hour fueling with prior arrangements.
Heritage Aero, Inc. is located at the northwest corner of the airport. Heritage Aero provides maintenance services for most single and twin engine general aviation aircraft including WWII and post WWII vintage “Warbirds”.
The current Airport Manager, Angie Janssen, started 2nd GEN Aviation LLC in October of 2021. While this may be a new business, in name, the airport is not new to Angie. She literally grew up at this airport, when her father (Darrell Janssen) started his maintenance shop in 1976. From 1984 to 1992 Angie worked for Darrell as line service. The last 24 years, Angie has worked side by side with Darrell in daily operations. She is excited to follow in her father’s footsteps as airport manager/FBO.
The entire staff at 2nd GEN Aviation is very aviation knowledgeable and ready to serve you.
