The Hondo South Texas Regional Airport is a vital resource for the City of Hondo and is a diamond in the rough. The airport welcomes everyone visiting the City of Hondo looking to establish a business or enjoy the surrounding area.  The airport is part of Hondo's Intermodal Park providing access to railways and Highway 90 that allows for 3 modes of transportation in and out of the area for goods and services to be delivered.

The airport continues to satisfy many entities which include the FAA, TxDOT, AAB, and on & off airport businesses.  Staff is trained through the NATA (National Air Transportation Association) to be Professional Line Service Technicians and strive to provide a safe, clean and functional airport for all.  While visiting our airport you can enjoy clean facilities, fresh coffee, and properly trained friendly staff.  Also, the airport provides for full and self serve Jet-A and AvGas fuel, flight planning, 24 hour terminal access with showers, private conference room, pilot lounge, courtesy vehicle, free WiFi, and four (4) active runways.

South Texas Regional Airport at Hondo is a former Army Air Corp military facility, constructed in 1942, that is classified as a general aviation airport. The airport can be accessed from U.S. 90 and FM 462.

• Courtesy car available on a first-come, first-serve basis
• Four active runways and associated taxiways
• Approach/landing aids, including PAPI 4's for Runway 17L-35R as well as GPS-WAAS Approaches for 17L-35R
• Modern 4000 sq.ft. Terminal Building, including vistor's waiting area, complete pilot lounge, flight planning area, restrooms with showers, free WI-FI, and available private conference room. Terminal Building is available to pilots 24 hours a day
