If just for a brief visit, Manitowoc can fulfill your basic needs by offering banking, dining and shopping across the street from the airport.

If you can stay for a while, we have pedal bikes and a courtesy vehicle as well as vehicle rental information for touring downtown and around our county.

Downtown Manitowoc, located on the west shore of the great Lake Michigan offers the S.S. Badger car ferry providing shore line tours and vacation trips to Michigan and Milwaukee. There are submarine tours, museums, Mariners Trail on the lakeshore, West of the Lake Botanical Gardens, and nautical activity such as sport fishing, sailing and kayaking.

Manitowoc County has 24 lakes and parks to visit, offering views at sand cliff bluffs over Lake Michigan to horse riding trails in Walla HI’s kettle moraine and some of the best inland lake fishing available. Maribel caves tours, off road mountain biking, Cato Falls, disc golf, fishing, hiking, water skiing, picnics, wildlife photography are all adventures that await your arrival in Manitowoc County. Don’t forget about the Devils River State Trail, offering 14 miles for biking and hiking which connects to Brown County, crossing several bridges and a trestle with scenic views of the Devils River. There are several golf courses throughout the county as well as access to I-43 which is only 30 minutes from Whistling Straits and 30 minutes from Lambeau Field.

If you’re hungry, eating establishments are abundant in the County and in downtown Manitowoc – only minutes from the Airport. With varieties from fresh pizza to smoked fish, great burgers, fast food to fine dining there is something to please everyone, stop at the airport for details and brochures.
