The Gordon Municipal Airport became operational in February 1946. It has two runways, 4/22 is the main runway with 11/29 being thegordon-airport-4.jpg secondary, crosswind, runway.
The airport property covers approximately 280 acres with 146 being used as agricultural land surrounding the runways, taxiway and hangars. It is located at 1882 U.S. Highway 20 which is one (1) mile east of the City of Gordon.
There is not an FBO on the property but several services are offered, including 100LL aviation fuel, which is available 24/7 using a self-service terminal, overnight hangar rental for transient pilots, a courtesy vehicle, and a lobby area featuring a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.
The Gordon Airport is the only location in Sheridan County which has AWOS equipment and the capacity to offer air ambulance transportation for patients from Gordon Memorial Hospital, which is a critical access facility.
We look forward to servicing the needs of all participants in general aviation.
We hope to see you soon!
