Brooks Field is a non-towered airfield owned and operated by the City of Marshall. It is managed by: Craig Griswold, Airport Manager,; Eric Zuzga, Director of Community Services; a five member Airport Advisory Board,; and the City Council. The airport features a single runway (10/28) 3500 x 75 feet, helipad, public and private hangars, lighted wind indicator, segmented circle, compass rose, and a tie down apron. The airport also offers two types of self-service fuels, 100LL and 94 octane Swift ethanol free, at very competitive prices, which are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
In 2012, the City of Marshall began to lease space to Griswold Aviation LLC, who specializes in piston aircraft maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification. Craig Griswold offers his customers a wide range of services and continues to grow and attract more pilots and planes to the airport.
In addition to aircraft maintenance, Brooks Field offers guests the opportunity to take a glider ride through the Marshall Soaring Club, and a number of community events through the Brooks Field Aviation Association.
Airport Events
The third Saturday of every month, from April to October, sees a pancake breakfast or chili lunch. hosted at the main hangar. The Airport Board hosts these events as fundraisers for the airport.
