Can we have the old way as an option?

Help! I don't understand this new interface. SkyVector was my favorite way to flight plan but now it is totally confusing. It was so simple before. I'm not sure about the majority of your users but I don't need another source to file flight plans. Is there anyway to use the old interface as an option?

"It was so simple before..."

Help yourself !!!

Go to "Scenarios for Dave" topic and contribute your ideas about

what made SV so simple.  If you think something got "fixed"

that was not "broken" then it's up to you to point out those details.

can't believe you screwd up my favorite site

I used to recommend this site to all my students (from ppl-ATP) as a great starting point for flight planning.

It was simple,intuitive and quick.

Click a location and get several choices (the airport, the vor, coordinates) click and it automatically went onto the flight flight. Didn't like it (wx maybe)? the easy rubber band re-routing would recalcuate the whole nav log.

Different aircraft? Simply "pencil in" the aprx new airspeed-BOOM, done! My main interests when I start a flight plan are direction, distance and aprx times enroute for each leg, with a total of them all at the bottom, immediately. Line item veto to delete changes. Later I could fine tune if necessary, which usually wasn't neded.  With a hand held GPS usually even this wasn't nescessary. The difference between the proposed plan and the actual one was often negligable ( my only wish was a friendier way to copy and print the flite plan/nav log onto another piece of paper). DONE. The whole process took 5-10 minutes, max.

Now you're a Garmin wanna be. Have to create profiles for planes, pilot, the smallest change,bull-shit. Have to read the damn thing like a document, your format is unique unto itself, rather then glimpse it like a graph. Take a friggin course on how to delete things and navigate around the site. If you want people to use it, Keep it simple stupid! PS: pls forgive the typos, get excited when pissed.

You really messed up a good

You really messed up a good thing.  It wasn't broke!

New Filing Option

You really messed up a excellant planning tool!
