Interface

Hi @all

1st sorry for my bad english. Also i hope i'm right here.

The new Interface is a imposition. Maybe good for a handfull Peoples but not for the most Users. Please give us back, or better, give us a second link for the old interface.

For example: i need to plan a flight from EDDT to YPPH with a LearJet. I need to stop somewhere. With the old interface a can plan the whole trip. The new interface is not useful for this.

Please give us back the old Interface. :-(

New interface...TERRIBLE

The old flight plan interface was easy to use and accurate. Now, despite not entering any rate of climb or descent airspeeds or desired cruise altitudes, I am still given TOC and TOD with LAT-LONG numbers indicating geographical possition on the route...but these points are not shown on the map....

Then the pdf form showing the nav log is a joke. Iused to copy numbers from the old site into a flight plan form of my own which worked great, is simple and clear.

Please allow us to use the old SkyVector site!

TOC/TOD/BOD Waypoints

Overall, the new interface is nice, I like the nav log but don't like the TOC/TOD/BOD waypoints. There needs to be an option to disable this in the nav log if you don't want to use them. Also be good to have a link to the old version if one wishes to use it.

screw up

why must you fell you have to do what everyone else does? that was the beauty of the previous Skyvector.

friendly, esay to understand and use. it5 use to be a great place to start ypur planning. quiock overview. esay to change speeds and times. now you have to fill out a godman form everytime your in a different plane.

Nor can i understand why it wont allow me to enter / equipment or fuel. no help offered?

Why do you insist on tryinmg to fix that which isnt broken. you guys fucked up.

New Interface Garbage

It is madening to see how web developers change things simply for the sake of changing them. Until the old interface is brought back, I will not use skyvector. If something is good, don't change it. Whoever did this is a useless idiot.

Constructive Criticism

I think Dave is far from a useless idiot.  He created a great tool and figured out how to provide it to the pilot community free of charge.  SkyVector was so easy to use and very popular that I can understand your passion in wanting to defend it, but attacking the creator with name calling is not the way to go about it.  Dave's just going to dismiss that as "wahwah" internet baby abuse.

I've sent my email to Dave with my attempt to explain to him why things were better before, but I haven't been able to make my point.  Here is (a portion of) his reply:

"Reordering waypoints is no longer supported. This was a deliberate decision. If you could perhaps explain why you need to reorder waypoints we will be happy to find a way to support this. In our opinion, the previous reorder feature was to correct a bad design which would only allow you to enter a waypoint by typing its identifier to the end of your navlog. Our new design corrects that flaw, so we assumed that there would no longer be a reason to reorder waypoints. Please help us understand your intentions here."

In other words, Dave believes that he "fixed" a poor design with the current release.  Without being able to sit down with him and show how I use the old system (no longer available to me), I can't explain why this is a step back... even with more features added.  This is an unfortunate disease with most developers (I've often wanted to break the fingers of the guys who work my projects) and is why there's almost always a business school graduate at the head of tech companies, rather than tech types.

Maybe one of you can get through with a better explanation than mine.  Email to info@skyvector.com is being read, so send your story of how the change has impacted you.

I agree, new interface is terrible

Please bring back the old way to set and reorder navigation points.  It was great.  The new interface is a BIG step back.

New Interface

Loved and used your cite every day. This new change will send me looking for something else. It is too much work and too limited for quick information. You might have considered ADDING features while rataining the basic ones that are so popular.  Jim H

A step back with this *new* interface

As an Interational flyer who flies in and out of the US I used to rely heavily on Skyvector.

The new DUATs friendly interface to me badly replicates a lot of other services out there and completely detracts from the simplicity of planning that the old site had.

Being a lot more data intensive I have a hard time using it unless I have a really solid Internet connection.

Trying to find airports outside the US is now a mamoth task on  slow loading map and I actually now find google maps a lot better just because it loads a lot faster. I do not know where you are going with this but I am using my tablet a lot more for planning and using commercial software as it is faster and easier now than SkyEVector. I file with 1800wxbrief.com as it is a lot better for briefing than SkyVector.

So Skyvector has improved to the point that it duplicates my other tools badly and all the good planning aids - speed and ease of use are now gone. In place is a mediochre product that does not work for me any more.

Perhaps there is room for somebody else to fill the gap or perhaps you can post your old site - and see which one gets the most hits.

Vape Shop Email List - HELP!
I am in the process of launching an eliquid label and I was wondering exactly where I can get some vape shop Sales Leads? I am presently trying to decide between The Eliquid Boutique (https://theeliquidboutique.co.uk) and WowItLoveItHaveIt (https://wowitloveithaveit.com). Both of these companies are out of my budget. Does anyone have any experience with these guys? Or would you say that it is far better to scrape my own leads? I have my eyes set on the Search Engine Scraper and Email Extractor by Creative Bear Tech but whilst this software is incredibly powerful, it may be a bit hard for a rookie like me. In any event, any assistance would be much appreciated. My budget is very lean so I am looking for one of the most budget-friendly solutions. Also, do you have any suggestions for an eliquid brand?
