Website not displaying charts?

Is it just me or are the rastor images down? I've tried on two different browsers. VFRMap.com works fine so I know the browser and my internet connection are OK. Strangely, the weather still comes up including the colored dots.

More tests:

Works fine on mobile.

Still not displaying on two separate computers using 3 different browsers. He is using Chrome, I've tried on Firefox and IE.

Makes me realize how much I've come to like the site!

Tell me about your network.

Sounds like your computer cannot reach the tile servers.

The tile servers are served from skyvector.net, not skyvector.com. This is to speed things up by preventing your computer sending the analytics cookies with every tile request.

If you are on a network that is restricted, like a DOD network, you may need to request from your admins to enable access to skyvector.net.

As a test, see if these links load:

http://t0.skyvector.net/tiles/301/1406/10/18/36.jpg

You may also consider using the https version of the site:

https://skyvector.com/

Interesting. I'm on a

Interesting. I'm on a personal computer and have been using the site quite a bit through early, early this morning. Then it just stopped working and, you're right, my computer (and my partners) can no longer load tiles.

It happened while I was connected through verizon and now I'm hard lined into a comcast cable modem. As best I can tell, all other web sites work fine including VFRMap and Google Earth (using ChartBundle). I can view charts on those but SkyVector has some advantages that are particularly well suited to what I do.

Is there a site I can try with using this same methodology as SkyVector? Or any ideas why our computer would choke on the .net server?

Thanks,

Jeff G.

Forgot to mention.

Forgot to mention.

The links indeed did NOT work nor did the https: site. Any other ideas?

Troubleshooting

I'd try to think of ways to prove it's either the network or the computer.

Do you have a smartphone? If you can view SkyVector over the cellular network, but not over your wifi network, then that would indicate that your network has a problem.

If your smartphone works over your wifi network, then its safe to assume that there is a problem your computer. I would try disabling "security" or "privacy" software that is a likely culprit. If you do discover that a piece of software on your computer is interfereing with SkyVector, we definitely want to know about it. Odds are, we can contact the maker and figure out why it is blocking our site.

Thanks for responding.

Thanks for responding.

I don't have security software turned on at all, "Adblock" is turned off for your website and I turned it off completely for the test. Here's the interesting thing. My room mate, who bought a new computer last week, has the same problem. I asked him to check when it started this morning and again just now. Same thing -- he doesn't load the tiles.

It happens when accessing internet through the phone or accessing through our cable modem. While here at the house we NIC plugs. It happens on both computers and all three browsers, I downloaded Chrome just to for this issue.

I'm gonna do a virus scan but that seems unlikely since this is the only site affected. He has windows 8, I have windows 7. I've also now cleared my cache on firefox.

Thx for your help.

It seems pretty obvious that

It seems pretty obvious that it's your network and not your computers.

What exactly happens when you try to load:

I want the specific error code.

Results

Dave,

Unfortunately I don't get ANY error code.

On the site, What happens is that it displays the flight planner, center cross, weather stations in appropriate locatations with an otherwise blank screen.

When I tried to load that single tile, nothing but a blank screen appeared.

It gets worse. I just got back from a weekend trip (didn't try use it there), plugged everything back and now it works fine. Your sample tile loads a piece off the Washington coast.

My room mate, who is now in Tampa, says that it's working for him, too. VERY strange indeed.

I don't get it but I'm happy to have you back!

Weather is not updating

I have been trying to get the latest text weather from the Skyvector site but it stop updating around midnight zulu on October 30, 2018.  I has stopped updating on my iphone as well as my tablet.

Any thoughts as to what the problem may be?
