SkyVector is pleased to unveil its world wide charts. Years in development, these charts will be refreshed every 28 days with updated aeronautical data. The charts come in three styles. Because they are far from perfect, we're calling them Beta. We need your help to find and fix all the little things.

World VFR

This chart is a "Sectional-style" VFR chart for use at low levels. For the United States, official FAA charts have been thoughtfully stitched together. For the rest of the world, topographical and aeronautical data have been sourced and assembled in a very high quality rendering.

World Hi

The World Hi is a high-altitude IFR enroute chart. For the CONUS, official FAA Hi Enroute charts were stitched together. Oceans were painted blue, and high altitude jetways have been drawn for the rest of the world.

World Lo

Similar to the World Hi, the World Lo depicts all low altitude Victor airways in the world.

A few new things

Along with the rollout of the new charts, additional weather overlay products are now available including Airmets and Sigmets, TFRs, plus Radar and Satellite imagery. The expansion to worldwide coverage meant some necessary changes to the way the "Go" box and the flight plan "Add" box work. Many identifiers are duplicated around the world. The system will use your current map location or the last planned point, and select the geographically closest matching object with the identifier you input.

I dont have a VFR chart for the whole of my country so sky vector comes in handly however i find that the charts for Uganda miss most land marks important for VFR flying like roads, any plans to enhance

I noticed that in the World Hi maps that the "Y" routes that exist in ZMA airspace are depicted. They are only depicted on the World Hi maps and not on any of the Enroute H or L maps. These routes are not published on FAA or DOD charts. My question is, how did SkyVector come across them and how is SkyVector able to verify the actual existance and validity of the route?


Hi all I am rarther confused i've been looking at all the identifiers for Airspace and the way I seem to read it on the map is Heathrow EGLL is coming up as a Class E airspace. and everything around the whole of UK seems to be class B rather confused could someone help me being new just give me a quick few bullet points explaining how each of the Blue and faint blue lines across the UK are.


For example Id like to fly out of Lee on solent towards Elstree but it seems no matter what direction I go it looks to me like its Class B all around so if been sticking under the 2500ft minium for the airspace area till I understand the layout as I wish to fly it like I will when I take my PPL later next year

Like to know if it will be possible to have current metar and taf information for this airport, it will be very helpfull.

As i wrote in this forum, i am missing an airport, called Ampuriabrava ICAO = LEAP, in northern Spain, i often fly to.

In my post, "Missing Airport Ampuriabrava.." i attached You further information as well as Charts as .jpg files.

Hopefully You are able to insert this small, but especially for parachuters very important european airport onto Your map-display by the next update.
