The runway was repainted if not entirely resurfaced since mid-summer 2023, and several smaller structures, visible with blue roofs, were built behind the main hangars, slightly changing the look from aloft. Friendly staff, fair fuel prices, and small but cozy terminal with pilot nap room, wi-fi, and power strips for charging. Arriving from north, at 3500' or less, field can be difficult to spot until quite late because of ridges; plan accordingly and pay close attention to maps and landmarks. Be alert for wind effects of ridge to NW of field parallel to runway, esp. on downwind for 5 with winds from NW. If time allows, once on the ground nearby Sweetwater has a quaint shopping and antiques district.
