Scottsboro Municipal Airport is a 236-acre general aviation airport which plays a direct part in the economic development and growth of Scottsboro and the surrounding area. The airport is home to 23 T-hangars, an 8,000 square foot hangar occupied by piston and turbine engine experts Martin Aviation for all aircraft maintenance needs, and additional airport construction imminent as the city of Scottsboro and its aviation needs continue to grow.
12-month traffic/operations count for period of April 2022-April 2023 was 7,187 aircraft operations for an average of 20 operations per day 80% of those being general aviation and 20% being corporate.

Runway & Weather System
A runway of 5,240 feet, 80 feet wide and RNAV Instrument Approach Procedures, Scottsboro Municipal Airport can accommodate business and private jets, as well as government and military aircraft. The runway lighting system consists of Pilot Controlled Lighting, Runway End Identifier (REIL) Lights and Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) Lights. The airport has an Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) on frequency 120.125, that provides continuous, real-time information and reports on airport weather conditions such as wind speed and direction, sky conditions, temperature, dew points, and altimeter setting as well as precipitation. The local Common Traffic Advisory Frequency (CTAF) is 123.0.
