Cecil Airport is located to the west of downtown Jacksonville the same distance to downtown as Jacksonville International Airport (which is located north of town).  Cecil is located closer to points in Orange Park, Clay County, the west side of Jacksonville and the Mandarin area.  Cecil also has the longest runways in the southeast U. S., short taxi times on the ground and very little pattern traffic.  You'll get into and out of Cecil faster than at Jacksonville International.
