Comments

Recently flew into KFAY for a 5hr layover.  Expensive!  $50 landing fee plus a $5 facility fee.  The landing fee can be waived of course if you purchase 7gals of fuel.  I was a bit surprised.  While Signature provides decent services at some airports, this is a small regional and they only have one crew car available that can be used for a max of 2hrs.  In addition, the FBO closes at 2200 local, and if you need to get through the gate back to your plane after 2200 you have to pay $100 to get someone to let you out.  The lineman was great as was the manager.  Nonetheless, it's hard to justify flying in there and paying this much just to land when you pay less at more exclusive locations.  In the future I'd suggest filing a CALP and PPR to land at Pope Army Airfield (Simmons AAF no longer accepts GA traffic).
