Comments

Would love to fly in, visit a restaurant, take the arial tramway to the top of the mountain, etc.

However, the landing fee for my single-engine Piper is $40. Waived with 15 gallons or fuel top-off, but fuel prices are double that of Yuma. In addition there's a $20 facility/security fee. So I'll have to burn $60 for the priviledge of landing in Palm Springs. That's steep for general aviation, and would cover two additional hours of flight for me. I'll choose to go to Sedona or the Grand Canyon instead.
