Best Stop in the Midwest
Highly recommend this stop! Fuel prices were substantially lower than any prices published within a 200nm radius. The on-airport caretakers are wonderful people and fantastic hosts. They have a nice Toyota minivan courtesy car--nothing fancy but more than adequate--and McDonalds, Dairy Queen and a host of other dining alternatives are just minutes away by car. Facilities are all very modern, clean and up-to-date. During the Oshkosh migrations, they offered free deli sandwiches from a local diner downtown. One of my favorite stops by far.
Outstanding Airport and Fuel Stop
The great fuel price enticed us to stop while traveling to and from OSH. The facilities are rather new and very nice, thanks to an EF-4 tornado that wiped out nearly all of the buildings at the airport on 10-4-2013. Jim, the airport manager, is friendly and helpful and shared with us the experience of the tornado. Jim and his wife stocked the refrigerator with fresh sandwiches (this might only be during OSH season, I'm not sure). When we arrived on our way back from OSH, we were #5 in line for the gas pump. It seems that great fuel prices and excellent service will always be a perfect attraction for pilots.
